In Memoriam: Mac Keever (1952–2025)
The VJLAP family is saddened by the passing of Mac Keever, a devoted attorney, advocate, and longtime supporter of the Virginia Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program (VJLAP). Mac dedicated his life to helping others—whether it was through his legal work, community involvement, or tireless support of those seeking recovery and well-being in the legal profession. Mac was instrumental in the early development of what is now VJLAP and remained a passionate volunteer and guiding presence throughout the years.
We extend our deepest condolences to Mac’s beloved wife, Elizabeth, and his entire family. They are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Mac’s memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 24 at 1:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Virginia Beach, 300 36th Street, Virginia Beach, VA.
